What's Happening at the JCCH

RISE 2021

The Japanese Cultural Center of Hawai‘i (JCCH) cordially invites you to honor organizations and individuals who exemplified kachikan values of Responsibility, Integrity, Strength, and Empowerment at our inaugural RISE event on September 22, 2021. The outstanding honorees embraced their kuleana and continue to lead our community and State of Hawai‘i through immense change.

The hybrid RISE event will feature both in-person dining and in-home dining delivery, coupled with an online virtual program. Due to the nature of the event, our dine-in sponsorship packages are limited.

Judge Gogo, the organizer of the flag signing project, also visited John Hayakawa and Judge Frank Takao at their homes to have them sign the flag. Thank you to Vickie Hayakawa for the images!
