Our standards-based lesson plans stem from our rich collections and are designed to share with young people the experiences of Hawai‘i’s Japanese American soldiers during World War II and the internment of Japanese Americans from Hawai‘i.
Can Hawai'i's Aloha Spirit Survive a War? (Modern History of Hawai‘i) – This and the accompanying full narrative are included in Hawai'i State Department of Education's At-Home Learning Resources. This project is a partnership with the Go For Broke National Education Center, in collaboration with the Hawai'i State Department of Education.
