Cultural Classes

The Japanese Cultural Center of Hawai‘i makes its rooms available for various cultural classes including Chadō (The Way of Tea), kumihimo (Japanese braiding), and shodō/ shūji (Japanese calligraphy). Other Japanese cultural arts workshops are held at the Cultural Center periodically. Public announcements are made through the media and the Japanese Cultural Center of Hawai‘i publications. Kumihimo (Japanese Braiding)

A single workshop for braiders of all levels will be held on the second Saturday of every month from February through November in the fifth floor lounge.
